Chess3D is a chess game for the web and Android. This policy says what it stores, why, and how to have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be defensible.
Chess3D is operated by a sole trader (Einzelunternehmen) registered in Germany. For any privacy question or a deletion request, write to privacy@chess3d.live.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To identify your account and let you sign back in |
| Display name, and photo if you sign in with Google | So opponents can see who they are playing |
| Password, hashed with Argon2 | Sign-in. The plain password is never stored and cannot be recovered from the hash |
| Country, derived from your account | The flag shown next to your name. Optional |
| Your games: moves, results, ratings | Game history, review, and the leaderboard |
| Gems, purchases and items owned | To keep what you have paid for or earned |
| Chat and reactions sent during a game | Delivered to your opponent; kept so a report can be reviewed |
| A notification token, if you allow notifications | To tell you it is your move |
Only the services needed to run the game:
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers. There is no advertising in Chess3D and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Your display name, country flag, rating and game history are visible to other players — that is what makes a leaderboard and a game review work. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
While your account exists. Delete the account and your profile, games, chat and gems are removed within 30 days. Records of a payment are kept longer where tax law requires it, without your game data attached.
A report about another player is kept even if that player deletes their account, so a pattern of abuse is not erased by the person leaving.
Email privacy@chess3d.live from the address on the account and it will be deleted within 30 days. No reason needed, and no attempt will be made to talk you out of it.
⚠️ Deletion is permanent. Gems, items and purchases cannot be restored afterwards, including ones bought with money.
Full details, and what is kept
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to the address above. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Germany that is the authority for the state where you live.
Chess3D is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and it will be removed.
Passwords are hashed with Argon2. All traffic runs over HTTPS. Payments are verified on the server against PayPal or Google before anything is credited, so a modified app or browser cannot grant itself gems.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app will say so on the next sign-in.
